The Iran Hostage Crisis was caused by a variety of different events; however, the primary causes include: the storming of the embassy in Tehran, which directly led to Iranians being kept hostage by Iranian militants for over a year. A main goal was to not release the hostages while President Jimmy Carter was in office; they released on the same day that President Reagan was elected into office.
Among the many influences for the collapse of the Soviet Union include the Soviet Union's economic stagnation, which inevitably led to an economic downfall. All the while, military spending was gradually increasing as the struggles were becoming more prominent. A decreasing belief in Communism among different groups of people, most especially the youth, also led to the fall of the Soviet Union.

When the Reagan administration secretly began selling arms to Iran, it marked the beginning of the scandal; the selling of the arms was also directly tied to the bloody war with Iraq. These sales held the sole purpose of appeasing Iran, and this gradually became more clear. The sales also were intended to fund a guerrilla war intended to deter Nicaraguan independence.
The accusation that the President was "wire-tapping" most anyone was a primary contributor to the Watergate Scandal. The United States was also in a position where accusations and reservations on Presidential actions. As for the Monica Lewinsky affair, the fact that President Clinton lied to the American public was the sole contributor to his impeachment.

NDuring the Iranian Hostage Crisis, for medical treatment purposes, the shah of Iran was allowed into America by Jimmy Carter. After this, 400 Iranians broke into the U.S embassy in Tehran, taking more than sixty Americans hostage. The Iranians ordered Carter to send the shah back to Iran, but Carter refused. After freeing African Americans and women, there were still fifty-two hostages left.
The Soviet Union was facing it’s collapse by 1990, after Lithuania became it’s own independent nation. To the United States, the fall of the USSR meant the end of the Cold War. This provided a great deal of benefits to the United States because it meant that they would be the only superpower country in the world.

Later, one of Lewinsky’s dresses, stained with Bill Clinton's semen, was DNA tested and proved positive. Bill Clinton was then impeached as a result of lying to the government and its people.

The Iranian Hostage Crisis led to the capture of many Americans; it also allowed for distrust because the Iranians broke into the U.S. embassy in Tehran. Although some of the Americans were freed, there were still a few that were being held hostage.
